how durable is cellulose fiber insulation on a typical say 3 bedroom family house, will it typically last 20 years under normal usage conditions.

1. You should design your building assemblies so that your insulation stays dry, if possible, no matter what type of insulation you choose.
2. Most brands of cellulose are treated with borates, which reduce flammability, discourage insects, and may inhibit mold.

A. Eighty years should be no problem.
