Looking for non-toxic glue to for holding window sills down

Hi All,
All the local builders I have asked use highly toxic glue to hold the window sills down. Does anyone recommend a green, more sustainable material?

    What glue are you saying is highly toxic? Does one die from it soon after contact?

    William,
    1. Are you talking about a window sill or a window stool? A sill is exterior, and a stool is interior.

    2. It isn't necessary to use glue to install a window sill or a window stool, although it's often useful to caulk the crack between the window stool and the rough opening to limit air infiltration.
