    Mike,
    Whatever water heater you choose, make sure that it does not require any electricity. That means you shouldn't choose a power-vented model.

    I suggest that you choose a simple, bottom-of-the-line tank-type heater. Make sure that it can be serviced by a plumber or gas technician in your area. Don't choose anything unusual or imported.
