Siding

Spencer Doran| Posted inGeneral Questionson

hey all excuse me if this is not perfectly Green building related. I asked over at FHB as well but i know this forum is much more active so i thought i would try my luck. If it needs to be removed, I apologize in advance- i had a roofer just punt two weeks down the road on me. I am getting ready to do hardie on second story . im basically ready but every wall has a roof that dies into it. shed roofs onfront and back. little eyebrows on sides, and some rake soffit on upper sides. Im thinking of just screwing corner boards so i can remove later, and starting siding on second course. obviously I wont be able to blind nail bottom course once they get their flashing in. Am i missing something that makes this a terrible idea? open to any thoughts.
ps. I suggested that i woould install flashing but roofer said he wouldnt be able to give warranty so that shot that idea

    Spencer,

It's definitely doable. Just make sure the builder laps the flashing under the WRB.
    No rain-screen?
