How to adhere Hardie board siding to plywood?

Sean Hart| Posted inGeneral Questionson

Im working in an apartment complex that has plywood half moons above the entry doors. They want a vinyl product to replace the plywood, they don’t want a sunburst. I haven’t found anything other than the sunburst. I was thinking about the 4’x4′ hardie board siding. Cut it to size and paint it. Just didn’t know how to permanently attach it to the plywood underneath the rotted piece coming off. I don’t want to put any screws or nails into it unless I have to. Anyone try anything similar to this?

Screw it, fill it, paint it, done. Or glue it and wait by the phone for callbacks.
