Best Siding Products?

What are some of the best siding products for low maintenance and durability?

This is a wood framed house we’ll be replacing the siding on.

Other than Hardie or Cedar shakes what are recommended products?

We are in climate zone 5 and hoping to put exterior insulation under the siding as well.
