Recommendations for an HRV / ERV Indoor Exhaust Grill
Hi
Just wondering what everyone is using for the indoor exhaust grill for a ERV or HRV.
I was hoping to use something a little nicer looking than a standard floor style register. I need 4 x10 size
Anyone use one of these and would flow enough air for the exhaust?

Thanks for any input

Hi Dave,
It doesn't look like anyone is familiar with the Aria Vent. (Not much in the way of reviews on Amazon either, which may tell you all you need to know.)
FWIW, here is an ERV-related thread that may be helpful://m.etiketa4.com/question/best-practices-for-erv-register-locations-and-vent-hoods.
They work pretty well but do require a bit of care to finish properly.
Also keep in mind that the free area on them is pretty low, so a 3x10 one is good for around 40CFM max.
I tend to use standard registers and a filter grill for stale air pickup.
Thanks for the replies, I was looking at the 4x10 drywall lite frames, the site has flow specs, but I will admit I don't think I understand them.https://ariavent.ca/pages/air-flow-specs
They mention open free area is 9.3 square inches. That's the only thing I do understand.
My HVAC report for my dedicated ERV ducts require between 30 CFM and 40 CFM between 5 different exhaust locations in the house.
让我知道如果你认为会work then?
My wife would prefer something better looking than a floor Register on the walls and ceilings, I am looking at linear grills as also an option, asit is a little better looking.
Thanks again for all your help
Dave
Slot diffusers - linear grills. You will have to get a custom boot fashioned, but they will look better. No residential finisher will know what to do with them though...
