Rob Wotzak

Throughout his early professional life, Rob delved into just about every craft you could imagine. His first real job was as a welder and metal finisher in a fine art foundry. Since then he has restored antiques, maintained private gardens, upholstered furniture, and forged decorative ironwork. There was a stretch where Rob actually got to use his psychology degree, as a farm program coordinator at Green Chimneys, a school and residential treatment center that incorporates interaction with animals into their educational and therapeutic programs.

In 2003, after answering a compelling ad calling for integrity, teamwork, and craftsmanship, Rob joined Hudson Valley Preservation, in Sherman, CT, as a carpenter. In short time he was managing job sites and had to face the routine challenge of integrating modern materials and systems into historical homes.
