Air exchange in multi-floor colonial
Ok, please help. I changed my whole plan and went with radiant opposed to my ducted hybrid heatpump/LP furnace on my home we are building. But….I never considered how I would accommodate the air exchange now. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can accurately determine what size and where I really need intakes and exhausts in a tight house? I have a two story colonial, but also has a full basement and attic trusses that will be conditioned. So if I am to exchange all air including basement and attic I have about 3900 sq ft. Where I am having a difficult time is how to effectively exchange the air for 4 levels. Can anyone point me towards a good reference?

Hi Brenton.
Its is common for HRVs and ERVs to deliver fresh air from certain rooms--bedrooms, living room, home offices, etc., where we spend a lot of our time--and take exhaust air from others--kitchens, baths, laundry rooms, etc., where we spend less time and create more humidity and potential pollutants, not that this exhaust is a substitute for bath and range exhaust.
