Moisture Wicking with Double-Stud Wall

tech1234| Posted inGeneral Questionson

On a double stud wall… 2×4- 5″ gap -2×4…
Should I be concerned with moisture wicking from a new concrete slab at the 5″ interface of the cellulose to the concrete? (assuming a properly placed/insulated/vapor sealed slab)

If so would you recommend just laying an extra run of sill seal between the stud walls? or strip of poly or EPDM?

You should have a vapor barrier and capillary break under the concrete slab; if that is properly done and you only have construction moisture to worry about, the cellulose can handle that just fine.
